Build your own rock sliders using locally sourced materials, detailed fabrication plans and printable pipe-cutting templates. This digital kit brings together the drawings, DXF files and material cut list to help you turn standard steel stock into a finished set of 25° rock sliders.
No tube bender required. The design uses straight pipe and commercially available weldable bends and elbows. Print the cope templates at full scale on standard 8½" × 11" paper, cut them out, wrap them around the pipe and trace the profiles. The pipe can then be cut with an angle grinder or suitable saw before fitting and welding.
The plans include dimensioned assembly views, individual component details, mounting-plate profiles and notes for adapting the passenger-side layout to the driver’s side.
What’s included
DXF profiles for the plate components.
Dimensioned PDF fabrication and assembly drawings.
Printable pipe cope templates.
Material cut list and hardware references.
Assembly and fit-up notes.
Materials can be sourced through local steel, pipe and hardware suppliers. The DXF files can also be supplied to a local laser- or waterjet-cutting service for the plate components.
Fabrication requirements
Cutting, drilling, plate forming and welding are required. Some mounting plates need bending to the supplied drawings. Mock up the mounting templates and tack-welded assembly on your vehicle before final welding.
Digital download only. Steel, hardware and finished rock sliders are not included.
